Stuck in fast-forward?

Ever felt like life’s got you stuck in fast-forward?

Struggling to catch your breath, let alone keep up?

You spot a fresh opportunity and can't bear to miss out.

Or maybe there's that nagging thought: "Am I lagging behind in the AI game?" So you push even harder.

We’re all chasing things in business but at what cost?

^ I might be putting on a smile but I was consumed and furious with work during this entire experience.

The Business First Mentality:

For many of us, success isn’t just a part of our identity; it is our identity.

Titles, accolades, and professional milestones begin to form the core of how we perceive ourselves.

The inherent danger here?

We become singularly focused.

We often sideline the other roles we play outside of work – as parents, partners, friends, or even just as individuals with unique dreams and passions.

Let me share a personal story that highlights the fragility of this approach.

This year I went through a both traumatic and enlightening event.

It halted my life in its tracks.

I took time off of My Content Pal, SEO For Hire and Link City.

All those achievements, the hours spent in building a professional legacy, suddenly seemed… insignificant.

It was as if I had been viewing the world through a narrow lens, and this event forcefully yanked it away.

What was revealed was an expansive landscape – one where business was just a part, not the entirety.

That realization was harrowing but also liberating.

It was a stark reminder that while our careers are important, they are not the sole measure of our worth or the only source of our happiness.

In essence, the “Business First Mentality” can be an illusion, a mirage in the desert of modern life.

It promises fulfillment but often leaves us parched for genuine contentment.

My whole view on life changed.

Luckily I had partners to help me keep on moving.

My team kept the companies stable.

I had people to support me and I came back.

I hope you have people in your corner too.

I’ve changed how I operate my businesses, opting for more of a life-first, business-second approach.

That doesn’t mean the quality of the work gets worse.

In fact, I’ve found giving my team room to breath has actually improved parts of the business.

Coming back and seeing it not in ruins allows me to focus on higher leverage tasks.

Of course, this isn’t possible without a good team in my corner.

So who’s in your corner?

Do you have a content provider that can keep things moving for you if you want to take some time off?

Do you have a backup plan if your content writer is sick or goes on holiday?

If the answer is no, I'd love to help.

We’ve got some new services coming out that might be of interest too.
